Many women experience discomfort, unpleasant odour, infections (vaginitis) at one time or another. The area around the entrance to the vagina (vulva) can also become irritated if not properly cared for. Steps can be taken to relieve and prevent vulvar discomfort and vagina infections.
Most at times, people say it is better to avoid washing the vagina with soap and using just water will be fine. Yes that is correct, because the vagina does cleanses itself but what about the VULVA? (area around the vagina) does it cleanse itself? of course not, and using just water around that area wont keep it clean, its like going into the shower after a long sweaty day, without properly washing your body, and most times when we sweat, we experience an unpleasant smell, and that is why it is essential to wash our underarm properly and sometimes uses deodorant to smell pleasant. same thing applies to the vulva, but we do not require deodorant around this area, and because the skin of the vulva is sensitive, it is necessary to use a very mild odourless soap.
Since the vagina naturally cleanses itself but the vulva does not, in this case, there's always some residue left around the vulva, which is the discharge from the vagina, and if not properly cared for can result to discomforts and foul smell. don't forget we also sweat most times around the vulva, and not washing the vulva can leave you smelling unpleasant,
Lastly, the aim is to use a very mild and odourless soap, only use soaps between the PH of 3.5 to 4.5 because the vagina PH level is between 3.8 to 4.5 [ acidic] and using any soap above this PH level will cause irritations. and most importantly, try to avoid using bar soaps or liquid soaps with a high PH, around the vagina. I do not recommend using them, Avoid bar soaps/or any soap that ranges between a Ph level of 8.0 to 10.0, it will totally get rid of the vagina PH, leaving you prone to infections, foul smell discharge, discomfort, irritations etc. At doublefreshcometics, we offer a unique vagina wash, that is mild and very gentle on the intimate area, with no harsh chemicals or parabens, 100 percent safe for the vagina ['yoni]. It keeps you clean, fresh and also prevents/eliminate infections and bad odour without causing irritations.
Tips: avoid wearing tight pants as this can cause excessive sweating and discomfort, always douche (wash) the VULVA with a mild odourless soap, do not insert soap or any other substance into the vagina, vagina care products should only be applied on vulva and not inserted into he vagina, avoid bar soaps, chemicals, deodorant or harsh products around the vagina or vulva.
